This is my last June post, I am catching up, well…kinda. One of our friends within our blogging circle hosted a summer picnic at her house at the end of June.
I decided to make Butterfinger cake to take with us to the picnic. My friend Amy recently made it, it was so delicious I needed the recipe, you can check out how to make it here
This would be the first get together where Greg would meet my other blogging friends and their husbands. The husbands had a lot in common, computers, house projects, sports & tv shows. We rotated coming inside and outside because this was only the beginning of a heat wave that we had over the course of that week. We had yummy food and enjoyed catching with with each other on plans for the summer & planning future play dates.
Our babies played together (they are plotting their escape to go play with the big kids)
I should have started taking pictures a lot earlier because V’s climbing escapade did not end well for her and we had to leave shortly after she fell. She ended up being fine, but gave everyone a scare. I swear it will be a miracle if we don’t end up at Children’s Hospital before she turns 2.
Almost all of my blogging friends have fancy cameras, I love when they take pictures and email me their awesome shots. It amazes me the difference in quality from my point and shoot compared to their fancy, DSLR (or something like that) cameras.
Here are some shots from them…
I love this picture, minus the big purple binkie in V’s mouth. (post fall)
Thank you Tracy & family for hosting a great night!
Her fall was SCARY!!! Glad the hubbies got to meet and had some things in common. It is always nice to put a face to a name :)
ReplyDeleteWhile I'm in love with my DSLR, I still adore the tininess of my p-and-s! Please send me the one of the babies together - it's a great angle and I just love it!! Glad we finally made the picnic and I love the family photo too. :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat picture!
ReplyDeleteIt was a scary moment when she fell! Glad she was okay!
